The shawarma here is amazing, especially with the hot sauce. All your Halal grocery needs as well. Hookahs available here but you have to take it outside.
Tasty Tasty Chicken Shawerma!
HIGHLY recommended. There is an EXCELLENT restaurant in here with some FANTASTIC halal food. Plus its located on a block of a couple of Muslim stores, halal meat, businesses, like restaurants, shops, and a masjid. The food was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!
This is one of the only halal markets I've ever been in that has fresh produce. Not just the kind in boxes - ie onions & okra - but real produce. Their aisles are clean and well organized, and they have pretty much everything from Jamaican Akee to tahini. And don't get me started on their bakery: their "date bar" style mamoul is out of this world!
Masha'allah I love Oasis market. They are new so they don't have all the meat available that I would like, but the quality of the rest of the store sure makes up for it. Every time I have gone the staff has been very kind and helpful. They have all the ingredients I need for everything I like to cook. That is very uncommon for me. I haven't had the time to eat the prepared food yet, but there is always people eating there so it must be enjoyable. Insha'allah I will have lunch there soon :) 4 out of 5 stars only because the fresh meat isn't fully active yet. 5 out of 5 stars when they have more fresh halal meat :)
I found this amazing Mediterranean grocery store in Oakland and I love it! They have everything from tasty olive oil to fresh fruits and veggies. The people working there are super friendly and always ready to help with recipes or finding what you need. It's a great spot for anyone who enjoys Mediterranean food and wants to find all their favorite goodies in one place.
Love this place! Location; not so much.??♀️ However the people are nice and the food is delicious. I had a Lamb mendi plate and when I say it was just what I needed. Flavor packed. Who knew yogurt salad, coupled with rice and lamb could taste so good together. What a symphony. Don't knock it till you try it. Another one of my favorite places!?
I always come here and the food is always not good, especially the shawarma, but tonight was a shock The meat is not good and the cooking is so bad that the animal cannot eat it. I can't believe whoever comments and puts five stars here. For sure, they all fake.
Recently dined at Oasis Food Market on Telegraph Ave, and it was a fantastic experience! The Yemeni and Mediterranean dishes were bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. I tried the lamb haneeth and the falafel wrap, and both were incredible – the lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the falafel was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality. The market has a warm and welcoming vibe, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you’re in Oakland and craving Yemeni or Mediterranean food, Oasis is a must-visit!
Pretty good food. Big portions. Nice people. Good hummus. Market attached to the restaurant has some good deals.
Much more than a market, a delightful cafe. Vegetarian, and meat choices available. Safe, extraordinarily clean, organized, tastefully decorated, and free parking not too difficult to find. Right in front of Sutter Hospital. Additional outside covered seating available. They make pita bread while you watch. Though they don't sell fresh breakfast cheeses, they do have breakfast cheese available in their grocery. The most unique and delicious vegetable samosa I have ever had, and I've eaten many over these many decades. The staff is super polite, helpful, and inspire happiness. Honest staff, I saw them find keys and actively try to find who left them. Made me want to visit Yemen, which I inferred from the Yemen license plate on the wall. The nicest Miiddle East cafe attached to a grocery I have ever visited. Visit for a meal, visit for groceries, visit for fresh delicacies, visit for the environment... Guidepost.us
I LOVE THE FOOD BUT RECENTLY THE RICE CHANGED WHICH USE TO BE GOOD, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU SEE DIFFERENT SERVER FROM THE KITCHEN THEY SERVE YOU WITH COLD BREAD AND COLD CHICKEN AND TASTES DIFFERENT.
February 23rd, Friday @ 12:30 - 14:00. I arrived early for an appointment in Oakland, California. It had been a long drive from Crescent City, California and I came across this wonderful Halal grocery, bakery and Cafe. My Taxi driver accompanied me that day & I wished to treat her to a nice meal. We were kindly greeted upon entering & had I had the luxury of more time that day I gladly would have done some shopping after we finished our delicious meal. The gentleman caring for the front of the store & the gentleman in the Cafe took great care of us. It was such a delightful honor ? to make their acquaintance. It felt like I was home in Texas eating a beautiful meal prepared with love by family. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place again. Love ✨️ and Blessings be with you All.
