Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status.. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Kabob Bazaar is delighted to serve the Washington DC metropolitan area with authentic Persian cuisine since December 15, 1993. Traditional instrumental Iranian music is played lightly throughout the restaurant, allowing customers to be introduced to a small but significant part of the beautiful Persian culture. Paintings displaying people, places, and designs pertaining to the Iranian culture. Samovars, traditional pots used to boil water and brew aromatic Persian tea, are placed behind the bar. Many customers sit at the bar and enjoy the traditional hot tea while socializing. Kabob Bazaar's delicious kabobs are freshly prepared daily and cooked right before your eyes on our open-fire grill. We also offer delicious daily specials. Our homemade bread is also made to order, crisp and hot in our tanoor clay-oven. We hope to see you at Kabob Bazaar very soon!

I called the resturant asking about halal food and was told only chicken and lamb is halal but beef is not. I did the same at the resturant personally and the same info was confirmed. Small selection but good food though.
I highly doubt that it's Halal since they serve Alcohol and also there was NO mention of Halal anywhere in the restaurant or in the menu. I ordered Salmon Kabob (sea food) which was really good. All the employees didn't seem to be Muslim. I stronly request Zabihah.com's team to investigate or REVISE their Halal status. The restaurant's owner wouldn't sell alcohol if they really cared about Halal/Haram. Thanks
Pretty good Persian restaurant with good service and portions. The server kept the bread and cucumber sauce (I think it was cucumber sauce) coming which was a great touch. Kabobs and grilled veggies were tasty and I would return. Good atmosphere.
If you’re a Persian food enjoyer or someone looking to try something new, I urge you to eat here. The menu is clearly constructed so that you can elucidate any ambiguity you may have regarding what a certain dish entails. If you have additional questions, feel free to ask the super friendly and helpful staff. Truly, I don’t think you can go wrong in selecting anything off this menu. All the proteins (chicken, lamb, beef) were cooked to perfection and the highlight is actually their rice dishes which are all fluffy and flavorful. If you’re on the fence, I suggest giving this place a shot because it really is tasty!
Kabab Bazar exceeded my expectations! The hospitality was outstanding—warm, welcoming, and attentive. The kebabs were juicy and flavorful, with perfectly paired sides. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service made the experience even better. Highly recommend for great food and top-notch hospitality!
We had such a lovely experience here. The food was very tasty, especially the Joojeh Kabab, which I loved the most. And of course, the Faloodeh Bastani was absolutely to die for—so delicious! The staff were very nice and friendly. And the gentleman who served us was very polite and attentive, which made our experience even better. The only minor issue was the smell in the restaurant; there was an unpleasant raw meat odor while dining. But other than that, everything was great!
Kabob Bazar stands out as one of the finest restaurants in the area. The quality of the food is consistently high. It's convenient for dining in, taking away, or even catering events. The management here is exceptionally courteous and polite. On my last visit to pick up food for some guests at home, the manager generously offered me a complimentary cup of delicious hot tea while I waited for my order to be prepared. I’ve shared a photo from that day!
This Persian place was so much fun and so tasty. Restaurant has been here for 32 years serving Arlington right across the street from Clarendon metro station. I had a delicious pumpkin soup and beef stew with red beans and spinach. The rice was extra special because I was presented on the top the very very special Iranian treat of the crispy rice from the bottom. Made my day!!
Kabob Bazaar is a great Persian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner is very friendly, which adds a personal touch to the experience. The food is good, with a variety of options to choose from, making it a great spot for Persian cuisine. The prices are on the higher side, likely due to the upscale neighborhood, but it’s worth trying at least once. Recommended for a visit!
One of my favorite Persian restaurants in DMV area. Abbas is the star of the show here with his warm and sweet hospitality. We love him. food tasted authentic and reasonably priced every time and turned us into regulars. Very courteous and caring towards their customer. They have an extensive menu with a lot of traditional dishes hard to find elsewhere (kale pache, dizi, faloude, etc). And they do it right! Kale pache was lovely, as good as it gets, and there was more than enough meat in there. Other food we’ve tried and liked: Kashke pademjan, zaytoon, Chicken barg, Faloude, and saffron ice cream Now a regular at this place
This is the best Iranian restaurant in DC, and it has the best kalepache in the US. We ordered kalepache, which was amazing and fresh, accompanied by fresh bread and torshi. We also tried the faloodeh, which was delicious and refreshing. Additionally, we got two sandwiches to go: falafel and kobideh. The atmosphere is great and calm. The service is excellent, very friendly, and welcoming. Abbas Agha is the best; he is very caring, friendly, and kind.
