You absolutely must order the Tandoori Naan. It is phenomenal. Best and freshest naan I have had in a long long long time. They make it fresh to order in a legit tandoori oven. I’m so impressed. We came here because we had a bike flat tire and stopped at the trek store next door. What a gem. Had Seekh chicken Kabab wrap (fresh naan, so warm and chick n kebab with an awesome spice mix. Fresh veggies and some sort of yogurt sauce) and then the goat curry for $18 includes naan and blew us out of the water. So yummy. If I’m back in the neighborhood I will return but be warned you have to wait for your naan since it’s made to order so be prepared to wait! Be prepared for a hole in the wall but the clerk was very nice.
Ordered Achar Chicken, and I was craving some Authentic Pakistani Biryani ! It was exactly what I was looking for, great food, great service, will be back for more!
Food was excellent. My starter was unexpectedly huge, so I took 1/2 of main course home. Good variety and choices in food, drinks selection could be improved with more natural fruit juices. Atmosphere was quiet.
One of the best if not the best South Asian restaurant in the Washington/ Arlington area. That’s all, it’s just that good. The service is above and beyond, the food is authentic and amazing. Visit it and you’ll be sure to enjoy it!
Today, I had the pleasure of dining at Mehran Restaurant in Arlington, and it was an experience worth sharing. If you’re in search of authentic Pakistani and halal cuisine, this is undoubtedly the best spot to visit. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal. The food was absolutely outstanding, bursting with rich and authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Pakistan. Every dish was perfectly prepared, showcasing a genuine attention to detail and dedication to quality. The portions were generous, leaving no room for complaints, and the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality offered. The service was another highlight of the evening. The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and efficient, ensuring that the food arrived promptly without compromising on quality. Their friendliness and willingness to accommodate made the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant, particularly the restrooms, which were spotless—a detail that speaks volumes about the establishment’s commitment to providing a top-notch experience. Whether you're craving a delicious biryani, flavorful curries, or freshly baked naans, Mehran Restaurant delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying dining experience. It’s definitely worth a visit, and I’m already looking forward to my next meal there!
Mehran has the best chicken platter! It comes with chicken and two sides. Everything is so delicious and fresh, and such a great value for the price! Everyone who works here is very kind.
I absolutely love the search for authentic Pakistani food and recently tried this place on a weekday for lunch. They were moderately busy when I went, which is always a good sign. Upon entering, I saw what looked like a buffet, but it was actually a display of the “cafeteria” style food you can order. I opted for a “plate” which was a very large tin dish that that holds an entrée and two sides, plus rice. The entrées they offered all looked great and they actually had Kofta Anday, which is meatballs with hard boiled egg in a curry. I’ve always loved this dish growing up and Mehran did an excellent job with it!! Their rice was also excellent, as was their yogurt mint chutney. For side dishes, I opted for aloo muttar and aloo saag and both were stunning! The saag was spot-on perfect! The spice level in all the dishes was perfect as well, which means it had a little kick to it. So, for $14.99 I got all this food plus a bread, in my case I asked for a roti, which was pretty good as well, but next time I’d go for a naan. I really enjoyed this visit and will definitely return!!
I have eaten at Mehran Restaurant two times now and I am thoroughly impressed. The first time I ordered food right as they opened and they were insistent on only the freshest ingredients for me. They food tasted so delicious and large portions too! The second time I sat in the restaurant and the service was quick and friendly and I felt very welcomed. Again the food was spectacular and I will be sure to go back again.
