This is a completely halal Thai restaurant serving a small menu of Thai appetizers and entrees, but mostly specializing in dessert. There is a reasonable amount of space in the dining room, but call ahead for parties greater than 4 people. Street parking is super-tight so be ready to park far away... if you\'re lucky. Leave the 1972 Mercedes-Benz 600 Kompressor (LWB) at home. You might also want to leave the smart fourtwo also, if not due to the parking situation than to the embarrassment of one\'s poor taste in cars. Incidentally, \"SkyIce\" is a blend of the words \"sky\" and \"ice\" and they are meant to be pronounced separately, so don\'t pronounce it as one word \"skice\" like this (initially) confused author. Service was provided by the charming young woman who owns the restaurant. This reviewer does not recall the exact dishes he sampled, but they were disappointingly so-so. Perhaps he ordered the wrong things on the menu, and he is willing to give this restaurant another chance. And he will definitely get dessert next time.
Halal, but the cuisine a bit bland...perhaps to cater to the area (park slope). Also pricey.
This place is amazing! They have a lot of Ice cream flavors, including the heavenly fruit 'durians' (if you're not from Southeast Asia, then you should try!). Their Thai foods also great and have decent prices. The owner, a Muslim young lady, is super nice. When I asked her whether they serve halal foods or not, she ensured me saying "I'm a Muslim too."
Awesome food, very friendly host, a chic decor - a worthwhile trip to check out this new destination for us
I did not eat any of the dinner food here, but the desert is excellent! I HIGHLY recommend the lava molten cake.. it's delicious! The Thai ice tea was a little too sweet for me, but the ice cream was so good that I really didn't care.
Amazing restaurant and conscious about their choices down to their utensils. Food has been amazing every time we have visited and the dessert is definitely something to leave room in your stomach for.
This is the new favorite restaurant of my wife and I! The food is amazing (all meats zabihah and halal). A different concept/combination of thai and icecream but it works! (You don't have to eat it together). The thai is very authentic and the ice cream is homemade (arguably the best in the city). The owners are great people. You couldn't ask for a better spot any night of the week. I would eat here everyday if I could.
If you get one thing please let it be the So Longan! It is my favorite dessert I’ve had in a long while and I’m not usually a sweets person. The mango sorbet also tasted so similar to a real mango it was incredible. I also don’t tend to order fried rice when I go out to eat but I was really fond of the pineapple fried rice here! The northern curry was also great but was outshined by everything else.
Stopped by this cozy, family-owned Thai spot in Brooklyn and I’m so glad I did! The curries were on point—full of flavor, and everything’s 100% halal. Every dish was so good, it’s tough to pick a favorite. Their ice cream is also homemade! Whether you’re craving a good meal or something sweet, this place definitely hits the spot!
Restaurant is small but it's clean. I like the decoration. I was really disappointed with my visit. Food quality is very bad, especially soup. I ordered Tom Yum Noodle Soup with Chicken Drum Sticks and it tasted extremely bad. Broth smells really bad and it had sour taste. I had to throw out my food. Would not go there again.
Amazing service. Came here on a Friday night for dessert with a good friend of mine. I had the mango sorbet coconut sticky rice & my friend had the single scoop of lychee sorbet. It was both really tasty and delicious. Super friendly staff and super clean place as well. Will definitely be returning to try their lunch/ dinner menu!
Outstanding Thai Cuisine with a Unique Twist This is hands down one of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had—and I eat a lot of Thai food! The menu was not your typical lineup of dishes, though there were some familiar favorites. The owner took the time to explain each dish, and his pride and passion for the food were palpable. Everything we tried was excellent—vibrant flavors, fresh ingredients, and thoughtful preparation. The prices were very reasonable, making the experience even more delightful. And don’t skip dessert! Their special eclectic ice cream flavors were the perfect way to finish the meal. Definitely worth saving room for. This restaurant is a true gem and absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Brooklyn!
Stopped in for lunch while in the area and it was quiet on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the noodle soup and although the broth was nice and light, it needed more flavor for me. Staff was really kind and they also sell fun ice cream flavors!
Their food is hands down so good I want to come back for more. And their instagram-worthy desserts! Now I get the hype because of the creativity and effort they put in each desserts. The ice creams are well flavored, some of our favorite flavors are thai tea, roasted thai coconut & ube. As for the food, I loved the ???'? ????? ???? the most. It was so good! If you're in the area and craving something sweet, and also thai food, it's definitely worth checking out!
