The owners are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status.. From the management: 'All of the meat we use in the sandwiches is Halal.'
Halal American and Middle Eastern food. The Manderin Café is a family owned business that opened in 2011 and is committed to offering both high quality products and service. We make our sandwiches with bread that is made delivered fresh each day from a local bakery. The fruit and vegetables used in our smoothies and salads are fresh as well.

Arrived in Detroit after 11pm and then a friend took us to Dearborn to find us something to eat. This place was one of the few places we found that was still open (around 12:30am on a Thursday night). We tried the philly cheesesteak sandwich, the chicken parmesan sandwich, and chicken tenders. Both sandwiches were good, but the chicken parmesan was better. The fries were soggy and the chicken tenders seemed to be kinda old (or frozen for awhile and then re-heated so were not fresh). The mango smoothie was OK as well. Fast and Friendly service. Two large TV\'s inside to watch the game. Open late which is a plus!
I recently dined at Farooj Restaurant, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Their signature chicken was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection, with a crispy golden skin that added the perfect crunch. The sides were just as impressive—crispy fries, fresh salads, and delicious sauces that complemented the meal beautifully. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, with a clean and comfortable setting that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a full meal, Farooj is the perfect spot. The quality of the food, the generous portions, and the reasonable prices make it a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, satisfying food in a great environment!
One of the best chicken spots in Dearborn. I’ve lived in Dearborn my whole life, so that says a lot. There’s something about his recipe that makes you crave it over and over. Especially the crispy chicken burgers. They’re made perfectly. The whole grilled chicken is amazing as well. The classic pickles are so good too. I only go to Farooj when I’m in the mood for chicken.
Coming from airport and going back home ...two hour road trip after 4 hour flight. Late night open place with some really good chicken!! Halal of course...just beautiful!
An Absolute Gem for Late-Night Cravings! This late-night halal spot is hands down the best in town! Their grilled chicken and chicken tenders are perfectly cooked - juicy, flavorful, and paired with an incredible variety of sauces that cater to every palate, from spicy to tangy to creamy. The customer service is outstanding, with a friendly and welcoming staff that makes every visit a delight. Open late to satisfy those midnight cravings, this restaurant is a true gem for anyone seeking high-quality halal food with unbeatable flavor and convenience. Highly recommended!
Very good and tasty place. Food is cooked with love and everyone was very friendly. I got the spicy shawarma with fries and Korean crispy chicken sandwich 10/10
Came here to because I was craving a good fried chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. The fried chicken is tender and satiating and what i loved is that it did not feel greasy nor heavily breaded the perfect ratio of chicken and breading. The fries and the sauces are excellent as well. I also appreciated the vibe of the staff they were welcoming and friendly.
Food was crisped to perfection. The shawarma was on point as well, very tasty and the sauce was great. Overall, the menu has great choices and the location is open for long hours, which allows you a nice bite to eat during the night. Seating was okay, the washrooms were clean, the shop was a bit cold too despite the door being closed. Still would come back.
"I had an amazing experience at Farooj. The fact that it’s halal is a huge plus for me, and they didn’t disappoint. The meat was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to juicy perfection. The service was top-notch—staff were welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The portions were generous, and the sides complemented the meal perfectly. If you’re looking for a place that combines quality food with excellent service, this is it. Highly recommend!"
