The menus clearly state that halal food is served.. From the management: 'The Halal Guys takes great pride in using only the highest quality, halal-certified meats. We know many of our customers like to know the sources of their food and we are happy to provide the Halal certifications for our chicken and our beef gyro. 100% halal food.'
From humble beginnings as a New York City hot dog cart to a world-renowned international restaurant chain, The Halal Guys story is the quintessential American Dream. The Halal Guys is defining a new, thriving segment for the restaurant industry: American Halal Food! The Halal Guys legend began in 1990, when the three founding partners opened up a hot dog cart on West 53rd & 6th Avenue in New York City. As business grew, they recognized a huge demand from Muslim cab drivers looking for a halal food meal. That is when the famous platter of chicken and gyro over rice was born. And let's not forget about the famous white and red sauces! Fast-forward 25 years, five carts, two New York City restaurants, and millions of diverse customers served, The Halal Guys is growing yet again. Fans no longer have to be in NYC to experience The Halal Guys as they look to share American Halal Food all over the country and the world.

They are great Good food
I placed an order for pickup hours in advance, but I literally could have gotten my food faster from just waiting in line as people who arrived after me got cashed out first. Defeated the purpose. There’s no sign indicating where to pick food up, and even when I went to the proper place the cashier and her helper ignored me and proceeded to check out 3 groups of customers. They avoided eye contact until I spoke up very loudly to grab their attention, and even then they didn’t look at me and walked away doing something else for a few seconds before finally giving me my order. Their pickup sticker on the door saying “Skip the line” should say “Wait even longer.”
Worst sandwich/ gyros/ shawarma whatever you wanna call it i have ever had!. This is what they think a sandwich is, couldn’t even take a bite everything fell apart, everything is wrapped in foil that u have to take off to eat and the sandwich comes totally apart and with soil particles inside , again thing in the pic is a sandwich/gyros not a plate..
Staff was super friendly and had great service. The quality of the food just wasn't there. Over processed and greasy as all get out.
I am a regular customer here, ordering once a month. I’ve been dining here since it first opened. However, this is the first time I’ve found hair in my food. When I first dug into my meal, I found a long hair on the side of the lettuce. Initially, I tried not to dwell on it, thinking it might be a one-time mistake, so I removed it. But, as I went for a second spoonful, I found another strand of hair. Two instances of hair in my food are unacceptable. I have decided not to order from here anymore due to the declining quality.
Been to this location a few times because of the convenience, highly recommend, never a wait, very friendly staff, seating available, flavorful food, good options, and fair prices. Parking is tricky in this area, but worth it. Will return and recommend,
This place served me burned beef. I’ve ordered from this establishment so many times however whoever is managing this place is doing a horrible job. Missed sauce from ordering extra sauce on Uber eats, rice being extra over cooked(soggy), and this is the final blow - burned food, literally tastes so burned.
I heard it was delicious, so I ate it with anticipation, but the beef was fatty and thin, and the chicken had a slight smell. While I was eating, a homeless person came in and left, and the smell was so strong in the restaurant that I couldn't eat the food. It was a disappointing dish that made me have to go to the bathroom because of a stomachache 10 minutes after eating....
5 minutes ago I went into a restaurant bought myself some food and wanted to eat. I looked there, there was very, very little meat, only cabbage and rice, lately for some reason they started putting very little meat. I don't know why, we seem to pay money for food!
