I liked this place a lot. It\'s near UCI, IVC, and within a 10-minute drive of John Wayne Airport. There\'s a halal sign on the front window. The owner was kind, the place is clean, and they don\'t serve alcohol. The food was good. This probably is going to be one of go-to halal lunch spots in Irvine.
Ordered Express Plate 11 & Express Signature 17, the server was really nice ?? although it stipulates no substitution for Express Signature Plates , he kindly offered if I was satisfied with the whole plate, he replaced my basmati rice with a delicious ? salad ? , the baba ganoush is delicious, love the hummus & beans, will come back for sure! Super fresh food
The most DELICIOUS Kibbeh everrrr. They taste like my great grandmas. Always delicious. Always fresh. I highly recommend!
Restaurant was neat and clean. Service was ok. No complaints. We bought couple of shawarma wraps and a meal. The size of the wrap was good, however the shawarma melt wrap, which was supposed to have lot of cheese in it, did not seem to have that much cheesy melt in it. Was expecting a cheesy wrap, but it ended up almost like a regular wrap. Garlic sauces were charged separately, whereas in many other restaurants I have seen them give one sauce with each meal/wrap for free. But that's their business model, so no complaints for not getting free sauces. Overall the experience was ok.
Delicious food and big plates! The owner is really nice. He and his staff provides great customer service. My husband and I went once and we are now hooked on their food. Filet mignon kabob and shawarna kabob are yummy plates!!
Family run spot that added to my experience. Service was great and food was tasty. Spicy hummus was so good! Had the combo plate. Will be a returning customer.
When I asked the business owner can i use the restroom, he said there was a $5 fee. It was my first and last time going there. It's a terrible place. The food is very bad, expensive and the employees are very rude. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
As the kids say, the food “smacks” and the jams “slap”. Foodwise - more like a 4.65 establishment. The shawarma, falafel, garlic sauce, fattoush and hummus were very good. I got the mixed shawarma plate and subbed hummus. Don’t judge a shawarma place by it non AC, nor by its DoorDash delivery success rate, judge it by its garlic sauce. And for that reason it tilts to 5 stars.
I ordered earlier today and found a hard piece of plastic in my pita bread and it cut my mouth. I called the restaurant to inform them about this and the employee was extremely nonchalant and stated they hardly use plastic in their restaurant. I’ve been asked for a manager, and he stated the manager was not on site, so I asked for the managers name, and when he will be back in, but he stated he doesn’t give out names.
