The menus clearly state that halal food is served.. Readers report that 9 out of the 12 beef options are halal, and chicken is also halal.

This is a good place to try Korean BBQ. The restaurant mostly comprises of tables or booths with seating for 4 and then there are some table available for larger groups. The food is cooked at your table on a small round grill centrally located and the grills are changed every time new meats are ordered. The waiters help you cook the food, if you are new to the process the staff will gladly inspect the grill every now and then to ensure that everything is being done right. The waiters ensured that all the meat was Halal and the menus that were brought to us clearly read on the top that \"all meats are Zabihah Halal\". I would recommend the Bulgogi, Spicy Chadol (which is a marinated brisket), Marinated Beef Short Rib, Garlic or Cajun Chicken and Spicy marinated Squid. There are a few salads, Kimchi and other condiments that get refilled promptly. Prices are about $17 for AYCE lunches and $25 for dinner before taxes. In my party of 4, without having ordered any dessert or soft drinks etc. the bill with tip was a little over $130. So it is kind of expensive for frequent visits. I have yet to try their regular menu or soups. Hopefully they are equally good. I am updating my review in 2021. After having visited this place 6 or 7 times now I unfortunately have to reduce my ranking from 4 stars to 2 stars. And all of this due to poor service. The servers here are extremely rude. They talk back to you in angry tones in Korean whenever they feel like it, probably cussing you out. Food quality diminishes with every serving. There will be less edible pieces of meat in each subsequent serving. Meat will be chewy and low quality the more times you order that item. I have myself and other friends and family have observed this slow decline in service over the past two years. They had a good thing going but now I won't recommend this location. They have another location in Tustin, but I have personally not tried it out. Heard that their service and food is much better.
I Can Barbecue is a 5 star restaurant. Me and my family love this halal-certified all you can eat Korean Barbecue! Tastes great and fair price. Service is friendly. Their staff clean tables, changes grills quickly! They have a separate Halal menu and also another regular menu where they serve pork too. They clean and sanitize each grill and table religiously after every customer. It doesn't matter if they serve alcoholic drinks or pork as long as you dont share your meal and utensils with those people :) so that is not even an issue! I have been at I Can Barbecue for more than 10 times so far. They're really careful with their cleanliness, service! No doubt! Can't wait to go back again!
We ate at this place recently. There is a zabihah menu and a non halal menu. The non halal menu includes pork and they serve alcohol. They change the grills frequently. You order from the menu and they bring the meats to the table. It is a bit expensive for frequent visits, but good experience for special occasions. Service is good. Restrooms are clean. All in all very good experience.
I live in Va and was so excited to find this place. Best I have had in the United States. So nice to have a halal option. Great service, delicious high quality food, and good attention to detail. Highly recommended.
this place is amazing. must try spicy chadol, bulgogi and premium top sirloin. the non marinated beef was little bland for my taste.
I \'ve long dreamed about a halal Korean BBQ place, and it has arrived. It\'s a wonderful experience, and I would recommend it to anyone. Realistically, it\'s not a place I would go to often. It\'s expensive -- about $27 a person for dinner, and while the experience is worth it, there are other places I\'d prefer if I had to judge on taste alone. It\'s all you can eat; they bring out a menu, you ask for various meats; they bring you the meats; and you grill them on a clean grill integrated into your table. Really cool. The food is good, but it\'s nothing I think I\'ll ever really crave. I think really the experience is what makes this great. It\'s a place I would absolutely take out-of-towners or people who have never tried halal Korean bbq. Also, just as an FYI, you have to specifically ask for the Halal menu. But for anyone who\'s never been, I definitely recommend it!
I Can Barbecue Korean Grill offers a pricey dining experience with mediocre quality meat and chicken that require cooking skills. Limited side options and no vegetarian choices disappoint. Lack of seafood options and ineffective smoke suckers result in a smoky atmosphere. The slippery floor adds to the discomfort. Overall, improvements are needed to enhance the dining experience. One good side of the menu is that they have halal meat.
This is our favorite Korean BBQ restaurant. The marinated meat is amazing. I really loved the squid steak as well. The service is incredible. They are constantly changing out the cooking plates and you can always find someone to refill water. The ordering system is very efficient and within minutes of ordering a new meat, they have it at your table, ready to be placed on the grill. We loved it!!!
This place is great! Their food was great and the staff were amazing as well. The experience was worth every penny.
It's a little expensive, but it's the only Halal Korean BBQ place I know. The service is great, once you're seated, there is hardly any waiting, and everything I've gotten there has been delicious. I am ADDICTED to the garden salad, the dressing they put on there tastes so good??? I can't stop myself from ordering three bowls throughout dinner and what I do is throw all the meat in the salad and toss it around its just that good. Recently, they added some new items to the menu like lamb and french fries, I think they are great additions, and it shows that the restaurant can only improve from here. It's a great place to bring people, especially if you know how to grill???
The service was great and very accommodating. The room is good and spacious and the restaurant clean as well as the bathrooms. The food variety is good too. My low rating is sadly and really for the food : broth was way too salty as well as the regular soy sauce, feels like it's intentionally done so that patrons just have to order drinks. Also the meats (we have tried almost all of them) were way too lean making it definitely not that good.
My wife and I came down for a work trip from Toronto and were told to try out this Halal AYCE Korean bbq place. Absolutely loved it! The Beef was delicious, I’d recommend that and the lamb over the chicken. Service was quick, Ryan was our server he was an absolute gem checking up on us every few minutes. Another shout out to Ryan for how he handled the rude table beside us giving him problems, he was calm, content and professional. The price point is a bit high but considering how quick the service and delicious the food tasted my wife and I recommend it!!
Very mundane with very little input or direction from staff about how to order or options available. Large meat portions but very minimal taste / less quality service. There is a QR code menu that you have to access with no direction. Would not return
My boyfriend and I came here to eat, never having been to a place like this before. When we got inside, I joined the waitlist with no one else waiting inside. It took probably 10-15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us standing at the front of the restaurant despite multiple people walking up to the booth and walking away. Once we finally got sat, we explained to our server that this is a new experience for us. He started out nice and told us how to order. We ordered, and all of the food and sides let me just say were DELICIOUS. The food was delightful, I didn't taste a single thing I didn't like. When we started cooking the meat our server would come over and say we weren't cooking enough and nitpick how much meat we were putting on like he was getting frustrated, but he had never explained to us how to do it. We just did a little at a time of what we were going to eat. However, there were some foods we ordered and we were kind of confused how you cut it up, never once did our server explain to us the scissors being used to cut the cooked meat, etc. We called him over again to ask for a knife and he seemed annoyed and came off very belittling and just took the scissors from our table and started cutting the cooked meat. Like I said we have never done this before. After that interaction, he never came to check on us again. We probably sat for another hour ordering and eating without any interaction from him again. At the end a different gentleman (who was very pleasant) brought us our check. Everyone else we dealt with was very pleasant, just unfortunately those few experiences with our original server left a bad impression. Other than that, the food is delicious. The price is very reasonable, I believe it was $38.99 per person for the dinner price, and all you can eat. We still had a wonderful experience despite the confusion and rudeness.
