About Shake Shack

Modern day version of a roadside burger stand serving delicious burgers, hot dogs, shakes, frozen custard, beer, wine & more. Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy's first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. Now available in the UK.

We visited Shake Shack Leicester Square and overall had a decent experience. The restaurant environment was fairly clean and well maintained, though it could have been a bit tidier in certain areas. The open kitchen was a nice touch — it added energy and transparency to the space. The burgers were nicely cooked, not soggy, and had that familiar Shake Shack flavor. The fries were crisp and fresh, with clean-tasting oil, and the ketchup and drink stations were properly stocked and clean. Everything felt on par with the brand’s usual standards. The main downside was the chicken nuggets — they were overly oily and needed a bit more cooking time. But the biggest disappointment was the bathrooms, which were quite dirty and noticeably below the cleanliness of the rest of the space. Overall, still a good stop for a quick meal in Leicester Square, but the bathroom maintenance really needs improvement.
