I was very impressed at how clean and organized this store/market was! There is a full-service meat counter, a pastry counter, a prepared foods area, and a grocery area with what seemed like a focus on Turkish items. They have a variety of fresh squeezed juices, so we tried the pineapple juice. It was seriously some of the best juice I\'ve ever had; you could tell it was made of fresh, sweet pineapple and no additives. The workers there were friendly. It\'s in the same neighborhood as Masjid Jami\'a and several other halal restaurants and markets.

We drove over an hour to buy fresh halal meat, trusting our Muslim brothers. What we received instead was deeply disappointing. The surface appeared to be fresh ground beef with a good color. However, once we opened the package, we discovered that underneath the pink, fresh-looking layer there was an old, darkened layer of ground beef. This is unacceptable. It is not honesty, and it is not halal in practice. Misrepresenting meat in this way—by covering old meat with a fresh layer—goes directly against the principles of the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Halal is not just about the method of slaughter; it is about integrity, fairness, and accountability before God. Making money this way is not acceptable.
