The ambiance is so lovely! Perfect for a romantic date night or evening out with an intimate group! The lamb qabli palao was so tender and melted in your mouth, amazingly cooked. Top 3 best lamb I ever had anywhere. The chicken ‘grill’ came with rice, char grilled tomatoes, onions & peppers with a delicious yogurt white sauce. Also very good, chicken was slightly salty but still highly recommend both dishes. The dolma apps were mouth watering, do ask for extra lemon- adds the perfect taste to the grape leaves. Sambosa goshti with the green chutney was also very good. The only thing we wouldn’t recommend it’s the Vegetable combo, the dishes weren’t that good. But it’s understandable as the cuisine is more focused on meats. Drinks were delicious!! We got the apricot sour (a must order!) & the Texas sagebrush. Staff was very kind. Highly recc this spot & will definitely revisit :)
So it is currently 12:49am and I just got into bed after finishing the rest of my leftovers from this place. It was my first time eating afghani food earlier this evening. I got braised lamb shank earlier at a celebratory dinner for my friend. She got the chicken with yogurt. We ordered Dolma for appetizer. I personally wasn’t a fan because it was cold and had a LOT of dill, so it kind of reminded me of a pickle. I was expecting it to be warm/hot. But my friend liked it! I rate it 3/10. Not my cup of tea. HOWEVER, that was the ONLY thing I did not like. Everything else was absolutely divine. We got hibiscus mocktails and they were beautiful and refreshing 10/10. My lamb dish was …. Wow. I was left speechless. You know the food is good when you keep shaking your head as youre chewing because its too damn good. It was a little spicy, and something in it gave it a burst of sweetness, maybe it was some type of sweet vegetable or small fruit idk. But i liked it. The lamb was tender as heck. 10/10 dish. My friends chicken dish was also amazing! It was refreshing and light but satisfying 9/10. The service was great too! The two ladies who were working were very friendly. Our waitress was a woman with a few nose piercings, she was really kind and attentive. Absolutely must come back again.
a friend's recommendation and it didn't disappoint! Really enjoyed the sides hokah and drinks are amazing It's a cozy spot with friendly staff, making the dining experience casual yet memorable. Definitely worth the trip if you're looking for something special
The food is decent. The server gave some good suggestions. Flies kept landing on the food though due to bar being opened to the outside and people using the door into the dining room. Service to be honest, was lackluster, and very slow after we got our food. Everything is way overpriced and many entrees are the same as the appetizers but bigger. Food often comes out cold or lukewarm. Ambiance is very nice though.
The food is art work! Beautiful and tasty. We didn’t like the drinks so much.
Outdoor patio has great air flow so the summer breeze was lovely. Dim light, round tables. Great service and delicious food and wine. Many fresh, flavorful menu options. I got the house rose and butternut squash with lamb. Squash was cooked exceptionally, wonderful sweet flavor. Lamb was not as tender as I'd like but still tasty. Great portions. A lovely date night restaurant. They also serve hookah.
If the weather is nice I’ll be here on the patio, for drinks & hookah. Food is good as well, had the chicken kabob with rice that was my fav. The shrimp salad wasn’t all that. I’ll be back soon to people watch! ?
This spot never disappoints. I’ve been a few times, and everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. My favorites have been the bulanee, the spicy chicken meatballs, and the chicken with yogurt is always delicious. The portions are really generous, too. The service is always friendly, and I love the relaxed, intimate vibe. I can’t recommend this place enough!
