Very good food plus great friendly staff.
As someone who grew up with authentic Middle Eastern food, this was one of the most disappointing manoushe experiences I’ve had. The manoushe was nothing like a traditional Lebanese-style manoushe. Instead of a freshly baked, soft, slightly chewy dough with a generous layer of melted cheese, I was served what was essentially a paper-thin, cracker-like bread cut into pieces with barely any cheese on it. It arrived cold and lacked the texture, flavour, and authenticity you would expect from a restaurant advertising Middle Eastern cuisine. It honestly felt like a cheap imitation rather than a genuine manoushe. The service was equally disappointing. The employee behind the counter struggled to understand our order, and despite us repeating it several times, multiple items were still incorrect. When our food was ready, the serving boards were simply placed on the counter with the handles facing away from the customer, making them awkward to pick up. I politely asked if the handles could be turned around, and even that simple request seemed like an inconvenience. It’s a small gesture, but attention to those details is what separates good customer service from poor customer service. Unfortunately, both the food and the service fell well below expectations. If you’re looking for an authentic Middle Eastern or Lebanese-style manoushe, this isn’t the place. There are many other restaurants that honour the tradition of this dish and offer a far better customer experience.
