Very disappointed with an order placed tonight from this Hungry Jacks outlet — this was not a minor mistake, but a clear failure to provide the item that was actually ordered. I specifically ordered a Plant Based Whopper, but instead received a Veggie Whopper, which is an entirely different product. If the item was unavailable, the bare minimum expectation is that your staff contact the customer or cancel the item — not make a random decision on their behalf. What’s unacceptable here is the attitude behind this substitution. It clearly shows that no one cared about accuracy or customer choice. It comes across as: “It’s vegetarian, so just give them anything vegetarian.” That is not how food orders should be handled. This kind of behaviour also gives the impression that Hungry Jacks does not take vegetarian orders seriously or treat them with the same level of care as other orders. Would you do the same for a non-vegetarian order? If someone orders a specific meat item, do you just send any random meat instead? Of course not. So why is this acceptable here? This is poor service, poor judgment, and completely unacceptable. I expect better standards from your team, especially for something as simple as fulfilling the correct item or communicating properly.
