The food was amazing, the service was also perfect! The chef himself came out to ask if our meal was good and we told him everything is amazing. The pasta we ordered was filled with flavor, and it was a lot of food for the price. Cooked to perfection and love, you can tell everyone here loves their job. The fresh juice was tasty, and very energizing. I loved this place and plan on coming back another time! Thank you kind staff for all you did for us, you really made today even more special.
On the last days of our road trip through Texas and Louisiana, we were so glad to have found a halal food spot. I wasn’t feeling well, so I ordered a soup, but otherwise, I would have tried other things. My husband really enjoyed his chicken sandwich and the soup was good and comforting. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice and calm. I really wish that more halal spots like this were visible when searching for places to eat. It feels like the word « halal » is often hidden in the U.S., making it harder to find great options like this if you are a tourist (not local).
This is the cutest little place in Downtown Houston! We walked here from the museum, not knowing what to expect. We were definitely NOT disappointed! While it is a little on the pricey side, the food is absolutely delicious!!! We will be back!
Came the other day she did mention there has been a change in their menu, otherwise the food is delicious, the only thing is wings can baked a little longer however seasoning was good, it was not full when we went but took time so we could be attended it's 100% halal and will be returning
This is our new date spot! Food was so delicious, very good flavors. The mango smoothie was a bit watery, but the strawberry lemonade was super yum. I got the chicken rice bowl and my partner got the grilled chicken specialty. Our dessert was the hazelnut swirl crunch and ? it was like Ferraro in a gelato. The manager (I think) was very kind, can’t wait til next time!
We found this place while looking for food by school and we’re not disappointed! It was a fantastic meal with lots of fun playing games prior to our food coming out! We had lots of different foods and desserts while here and they all were amazing! The chef, Wally, even came out to take our picture for us - great photos with lots of angles! This place was great and we will be coming back for sure!
Stopped in today for breakfast and it was incredible. I had the breakfast sampler and my wife got the breakfast tacos. I ended up with taco because the French toast was so good that my wife stole it from me. Will definitely be back! Besides the food, the people were very friendly and helpful. Has a family ran vibe to it.
I'm thrilled to have finally found a great halal American brunch spot! The food was amazing, and the service was exceptional - our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. I loved that they serve their food on actual plates, not in boxes or paper plates. But the best part? Everything on the menu is halal! As a Muslim, it's hard to find places with good options, so this was a game-changer. Highly recommend!
Whenever we visit Houston, we always make a point to stop by the other Cosmo Café location, but since it’s now closed, we decided to try this one expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The menu here is a bit different from the old location, which is understandable, so we decided to try the salmon bagel. However, it took 20 minutes to get a bagel despite the café being almost empty—there were only a couple of people dining, and they were already eating. No one else was waiting on food, so we were confused about the delay. When the bagel finally arrived and we took a bite, it was hard as a rock—no joke. It was burnt, which I can understand from toasting, but it was so hard that we couldn’t even cut it in half. I went back and told them about it, and they offered to make a new one, which I appreciated. However, the second bagel was even worse. The new one came out in about five minutes, but there was barely any cream cheese, and the bagel bread was so thick that it was impossible to get a bite with both the salmon and the bread together. On top of that, there were no capers either. At that point, we gave up and decided to go eat somewhere else down the street. I’m not sure how you can mess up a simple bagel twice, but unfortunately, they managed to. We were very disappointed and don’t think we’ll be coming back.
