The restaurant was pretty quiet around 1pm on a weekday. The food all tasted a little off what I was expecting which was disappointing. The roti was excellent but the Dahl much too thick like a porridge that had been simmering for much too long. The nasi lemak rice was good but the chicken was a little overcooked. The sambal prawns were lacking flavour and the kway teow had strange ingredients like Chinese cabbage which just isn’t right. This said the staff were lovely and prices very reasonable. They did offer to recook items and take items off the bill but I don’t feel comfortable given the cooking style was more a preference rather than anything being cooked very badly. If the food could just reach a slightly higher standard flavour wise then I’d happily come back again.

This was our second time visiting this weekend and can confirm it’s become a family favourite! The staff are so welcoming and attentive. The food is authentic and cooked fresh. The open kitchen allows you see the tissue like roti being made. The kids were mesmerised by it! We ordered Bang Bang chicken for start which were inhaled. For mains we order Traditional Nasi Lemak, Pad Thai and Beef Rendang with roti. The roti is so flaky and delicious. The portion sizes and generous. We had our table booked for 6pm and there were tables already reserved. I can totally appreciate why. To avoid disappointment reserve a table. We sure will be returning again!

We booked our seats in advance and were given a nice, cosy sofa, which was perfect for our family of five. The food was served hot, absolutely delicious, and truly authentic Malaysian cuisine. My kids really enjoyed the kids’ menu. The Bang Bang chicken was so tasty, and we also shared the mixed platter for starters. I had the Pad Thai noodles, which were tasty. The service was outstanding — the waiters were very friendly and attentive. The main course took a little time, but that was absolutely fine as everything was cooked fresh. Nothing was frozen; we could see the roti being made from scratch, and it was clear all the food was prepared fresh and served hot. I loved that every table was stocked with plenty of tissues, something many other restaurants don’t provide, often giving only one per person. There’s also a dedicated area with two sinks where you can wash your hands before and after the meal. My family and I had a wonderfully cosy meal on a chilly night out — Alhamdulilah. We visited on a Tuesday and received a 20% discount, which apparently happens every Tuesday. We will definitely be coming back again.

This tucked away little beautiful spot in the heart if east london has to just one of the best places I have visited recently. The place is clean and comfortable, it has two sections and if you don’t fancy a table near a window, there are plenty of other options to choose from. The staff a very friendly, kindly and helpful, they are happy to explain any questions you have and will come to check on you. FOOD: ok so the food is actually lovely and authentic in my opinion. Everything we ordered was delicious, hot and so tasty. We have a mix platter to start with and the chicken satay with the peanut sauce is absolutely delicious. The beef rendang with the soft yet flaky roti is something to savour, we also ordered the daal and together they are so good together. They complement each other and i would recommend you try both. The char kuew teow was amazing too, just the right balance of spice and the balance ratio of noodles to chicken and shrimp was excellent. Now i do have to make a confession, the TEH TARIK is pure fire! I had a sneaky cup whilst waiting for the food, then another one after food.. it was soooo nice i took one as takeaway! Will be going back for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious and full of authentic Malaysian flavor — and the prices were super affordable too. Every dish tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. Chef Rudy was amazing, friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about his cooking. If you’re looking for tasty Malaysian food that won’t break the bank, this is the spot. Highly recommended! 🇲🇾🍛
