Basic counter service establishment with a Persian leaning menu. Decent kebabs and naan. Friendly service.
Bread is not as good as used to be.
Best chicken and lamb kabob i have ever tried ! Bravoo
I been their many times to this location, small but good service and good food. They remind me about Chalo Kababhi. I come to this place time to time.
Average atmosphere but clean.............................. My actual review had a lot more words than the 4 that appear here. I have had to edit my reviews on computer afterwards as not all the information gets posted here when I enter it from my iPhone-5. There is problem from doing reviews from mobile device.
Koobideh kabab was good not the best but good! Very nice owner!
Full halal menu per Noor from Egypt Polite, friendly, efficient young man. Order # 1 Kubideh Kebabs with nan
This is a simple looking place with great food.
Food is really good. Not very expensive but not the cleanest place either. Zabihah.com says it's partial halal menu but I called and asked and they said it's fully halal. There bread is delicious and Huge. I always get the chicken and kubidah kabob with bread not rice.
One of our favourite go to places for last minute lunch/dinner plans. We always get the kubideh with rice. Their salad and yogurt sauce which come in tiny tubs are yummy. I think they recently hiked up the prices, but even then it's worth it for some yummy kabob. As for service, I think management changed, the person taking orders is quite nice. We've never received poor service because of our appearance (we look very Muslim). The place looks clean, and is very casual.
This place is delicious. They have Afghan/Iranian food (not sure what exactly it would be classified as). I have had their Kubideh (ground beef) and the chicken, as well as the Chicken Soltani (which is one skewer of chicken and one skewer of ground beef). This is probably the tastiest food for this type of cuisine that I've tasted. I'd always drive there from Arlington to get the food. The bread is baked fresh in front of you in the clay oven and is really good. I think I've never really had food there, and yes, the sitting place could be a lot better. But 5 stars for the food. Also: I haven't eaten there in about a year, so I don't know if the food quality has changed in that long, but I doubt it.
Koobideh kabab with naan is real good. Seating is limited. I will go back and try other items on their menu.
The food is good. The place is not clean and neither is the attitude of the one of their employees. This particular employee is the one who takes the orders, he treats customers based on looks and background. So if you're wearing the cover or you're Muslim or Arab, you're not important and you're treated with an attitude! If you're not covered and non-Muslim or Arab the you're a priority. This is not accepted and I will never go there again!
food was food, the nan and the kabab!specially the restuarant is very neat n clean.
I really love their food: whether its Lamb, Kubideh, or Chicken kabob. I have never had a bad experience. Good Customer service..they know me since I frequently go so they give me the option of eating then paying before I leave.
Their kubideh is good. Kabobs are not very spicy but are good. I always ask for extra hot sauce.
Persian restaurants are typically known for their cleanliness and delicious food, but this one was a letdown. The dining area was uncomfortably close to the washrooms, and overall cleanliness was lacking. I tried the Kubideh, chicken, and lamb kabobs, but unfortunately, none of them met expectations in terms of flavor or quality.
The food here was terrible. I last ate here in 2013 and the food was good. The food quality and quantity was not up to my expectations. The food was bland and dry. Wheres the seasoning? I waited 25 minutes for my food to be cooked and it was cold. The chickpeas were hard and just sitting in water. If you plan to eat here make sure you have some drinks to wash down this plain and dry food.
A solid basic but great food! It’s what we call “a neighborhood dinner” Middle Eastern food in the middle of Baileys Crossroads! Great no- fancy full of flavor hot meals! Love it!
Lovely place and tasty food Excellent team helping you to enjoy your food (Mustafa & the Amigos ) Amazing lamb shank with a delicious soup
RESPECT!!! Employees are great food is great. Their rice is not the best. I wish they change their rice to better quality and cook it a bit more so it's softer to swallow and chew easier. I'd give 4.8 star. I'm %95 happy with serives. Sometimes rarely it happens that they overcook chicken a bit and make it dry. But u gotta really give this place a shot! I go here all the time and multiple times a week. My brain is locked on their chicken sultani ? I really appreciate the employees. They always greet me with a smile. They're very hard working and very reliable. I pick up my food most of the time. Can't wait to go back ?
I've been eating here regularly since much longer than I'd like to admit. The Chicken is perfect in my opinion with just the right amount of flavoring. I always get it well done. It comes with an incredible spicy green sauce too. The rice is also perfect. The bread is cooked in the traditional oven and always served warm. The piece de resistance for me is the hummus. I usually get an extra one to take home. They put a bit of oil in it, and for me, it is the best I've ever had. They also have hot tea which you make yourself, and it is very tasty, They also have water too, which you fill yourself. If you like fancy, table service restaurants, this isn't the place for you, but if you want to eat excellent kabobs and bread, while watching CNN, which is always on there, than you will love it like I do!
I was out shopping Sunday night and wandered into Bread and Kabob...the best random happening of all week! This hole-in-the-wall Persian place welcomes you with an aroma of sizzling meats and fresh baking tandoori. The staff greeted me warmly and immediately began preparing my food. I sat at the counter and watched as local families dined while the staff prepared my fresh chicken kabob - which was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The bread is soft, yet chewy, perfect filled with meat and stewed chickpeas. When the owner swung by and asked how it was, my answer, and the answer, was that its perfect.
The food is still excellent just a little bland not what it used to be. Service is good and people are friendly.
