Less taste on fried chicken, marinate is not absorbed through the meat. Rice is under cooked Salted egg sauce less taste and only spreads on top on some of the chicken. Ais kacang is good.
One of my favorite Indonesian restaurants in Sydney. The sambal is unbeatable if you love authentic spicy flavors. Some dishes, like pempek and mie ayam, truly capture the taste of Indonesia. You definitely need to try it, especially if you’re craving authentic Indonesian food. No need for a booking; you can walk in. However, I recommend avoiding weekends as it gets very busy.
The service was friendly and efficient. The food was good too. Although the Gado Gado should have more tofu and tempeh as the majority given was the lettuce! Probably won't order that again unless improved.
We ordered rib soup, satay lamb with rice cakes and a mix of curries. The rib soup was very tasty and I could tell the beef was cooked for a very long time. I wasn’t particularly a fan of the lamb satay - it was a bit gamey for me. Perhaps if it was beef, or lamb shoulder, it would have been tastier. Nonetheless, the sauce was nice and not like other satay I have had before. This was the only let down. The chicken leg was succulent and delicious. The mixed curries were nicely done.
Iga bumbu rujak is our favorite! But we got the chicken, fast service and authentic Indonesian food with many choices. They also have sessional menu.
Visited this Indonesian spot in the heart of Sydney CBD for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint. The menu offers a great variety, from classics like Nasi Goreng to sweet treats like Martabak Manis. Everything we tried was tasty, but the siomay really stood out – absolutely delicious! Plus, the prices are pretty reasonable, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal.
Yesterday I went there The rice, meat, and chicken dishes were all delicious with authentic flavours that really stood out. The restaurant may be small, but it’s cozy and comfortable, making for a pleasant dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. The prices were good. Differently I’ll come again You have to look for parking before going.
First time tried their food was like 8-9 years ago, been here so many times The food was excellent. But lately, the food getting worse and worse. Last month, took my sister who is in her 8 months pregnancy visiting from tasmania for lunch, ordered plenty of food, the nasi uduk was off, she had some and asked our opinion so we all tasted. We told the staff the nasi uduk is off and they said it wasn’t fresh from the day, that’s why. They replaced to plain rice but didn’t return us money. The soup was salty, so much msg in most of the food we ordered as they always premade and precooked the food Today we had dinner here and the ayam kremes, the kremes was super oily, hard to eat, and the siomay goreng was off, the fish smells super strong very unusual. So we told the staff if they have the new one as we only had 2 pcs of it, they said they dont have new one as all same batch. So we got batagor as replacement. The service was great tho, very helpful. The soup iga so salty, like too much msg. I dont think i’d come back again
