It just cant get any better than this. Food is just devine here. Their barbecue is like no other specially malai boti and bihari kabab. Their butter chicken and bbq biryani is to die for. Loved the pina colada and lasi Spice levels are proper authentic. I was with my family and we regret so much that why didnt we try this place earlier but this will be our go to every weekend

Pricey but the food makes it so worth it! All so delicious, especially the Murgh Makhan which just melts on your tongue? brought my non-desi friends to try out Pakistani food for the first time and they all fell in love with it! The atmosphere is great and customer service well deserving of appreciation; our server (i think her name was Sania?) was so patient and helpful, she warmly attended to all the requests we made. Also, the birthday kulfi was so cute and nicely decorated? Fully Halal as well, definitely recommend! :)

Pros - Delicious food. All the items had perfect amount of spice level as per the request. We ordered chicken tikka, kadhai chicken, butter chicken, mutton biryani and tandoori roti. The chicken in all the items was well cooked. Best thing was the butter chicken didn’t taste sweet at all?? Cons - their cutlery sets and plates need replacement. They were all stained, we cleaned them thoroughly before using them. Secondly, they mentioned in menu to give them 20 minutes after placing the order but we received our order after 45 minutes. That too when the entire place was empty, it was just us in the restaurant. They really need to work on their service. There was only one girl taking the order and serving the food as well.

Food is really tasty. Definitely better taste than some other branded indian chain restaurants. Salman Bhai (Owner) is very generous. Keep it up. Highly recommended.

**DO NOT GO HERE** i would give negative stars if i could. they lied to me when i asked whether their chicken tikka is dark meat (chicken thighs) or white meat (chicken breasts). when i got back home, that's when i noticed they deceived me. i called and told them what they did and i was about to get a refund until the person at the front took my number down and told me i'd get a call back. i got one a few mins later and i believe it was the owner. he fought with me even though i explained the difference of dark meat and white meat before placing the order. anywhere in the world you go, both terms have a universal meaning. he argued with me and even went as far as YELLING at me over the phone telling me that dark meat is NOT chicken thighs and that it's the other way around- white meat is chicken thighs. he told me to come back and give him the food and only then i'd get my refund but why would i drive back 30 mins?? it's a 1 hour round trip which i had initially made, and now he wants to waste my time by having me make another 1 hour round trip. super rude, super incompetent, super deceiving. who yells at customers??????????

I watched the video honey singh and came to try this place and oh my god I was not disappointed. This is one of the best finds in recent times. We tried the famous butter chicken and the biryani and it was absolutely delicious. I came with my friends and all of us just love the food and atmosphere, and specially the staff who are really helpful and there with the smiling face . We ended our dinner with gulab jamun and words can’t explain how good they were really soft and sweet. I might have to come back just for gulab jamuns. If you are in the city, this is your place. You have to try it once.

I visited Lal Qila with my friend last night, and it was an amazing experience. Their specialty, Biryani, truly lived up to the hype. We tried the Chicken Biryani, Veg Biryani, Raita, and Ras Malai, and every dish was fabulous. It’s no surprise that this place is frequented by famous Pakistani cricketers and even singer Honey Singh, who came here to try their Biryani. A must-visit for Biryani lovers!

Years later, I find myself writing another review for Lal Qila at Darling Harbour, and I must say this time the experience was genuinely impressive compared to my previous visit. We were seated promptly and attended to with courtesy, despite the bustling atmosphere. The staff demonstrated remarkable efficiency in handling the steady flow of patrons, and the quick turnaround on orders significantly enhanced the overall dining experience. The starters—pani puri and malai tikka—were perfectly prepared and succulent. For the mains, we enjoyed garlic naan, Lahori naan, saffron rice, and an array of flavorful dishes, including ghost maharaja, Akbari murgh angari, and masala e anarkali. Each dish was served hot, fresh, and authentic flavors. The desserts, however, were a bit of a letdown. We tried the khoye de gulab jamun, the chef's creative take on the classic sweet, but it fell short, resembling bread pudding more than gulab jamun. Overall, Lal Qila is a must-visit for those craving delicious Indian/Pakistani cuisine served hot and at reasonable prices. The service is top-notch and adds to the charm of the experience. One suggestion for the management: please consider issuing detailed bills for clarity. With multiple items ordered, guests might struggle to verify charges and remain unaware of any extra fees, which can cause unnecessary confusion. Addressing this would enhance the experience even further.

Beautiful food. We had the lamb korma and butter chicken both very nice, consistency of the curries was some of the best I have had in Australia. The garlic and house breads nice. Had samosas, pakora and poppadoms all fine not unreal but definitely nice, pakora abit too crunchy but over all this meal was very very delightful and the staff and service here are 10/10 faultless, would definitely recommend and come back, reasonable pricing for the amount of food and the quality

We had a great time at Lal Qila. Their food tasted amazing. The customer service was great. I would like to thank everyone for their amazing hospitality. I tried lalqila’s food on a wedding and my word, what delicious food these guys have. Definitely choosing them for our next catering. Menu was very extensive but everything from starters to mains to dessert was absolutely devine. Apart from the taste their presentation were top notch specially the way they presented the dessert table. Highly recommended and will def be trying their restaurant soon.
