Loved this place; a hole in the wall. We ordered chicken biryani, chicken Karhai, and nihari with garlic naans. Everything was very delicious and authentic. I recommend it to anyone who likes to experience Pakistani food. This is not a fancy restaurant and service could be better. But again, I am only interested in good taste, and I will come back again.
I'd only go for the tandoori chicken and Nan bread, although it's not the kindest to your stomach, but wouldn't mind having it once in a while, I just wouldn't bother with their curry, as I found it very ordinary, and bad quality rice, bad quality cutlery and plates.
Good Pakistani food at a reasonable price. Place is quite big and had quite a few Locals too there enjoying Mango Lassi.
Had mixed experience one of the dishes was really good but other wasn't so much. Also the tandoori chicken we ordered was half burnt. Tasted good but half of it was not consumable. They did offer us to replace it which is good. Overall an average experience
Got some takeaway from this place - we had some naan bread and 2 curries - butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. The butter chicken tasted ok however a bit different to what I’m normally use to - it was more sour than sweet. Chicken tikka masala was rich with ingredients and chicken pieces was tender. The naan bread was fine however might be more flavourful if it was cooked in a tandoori oven. Overall decent curry at an affordable price!
In Short - Below average food quality. Takeaway in general was clean and staff was polite. I would not go there again, even if it is last place open at night. In details - I was asked several times by many people - have you been to Faheem yet? And I thought it is a really nice Indian/Pakistani place. So tonight I finally went to this place after driving 40 kms from North-West of Sydney. I ordered Brain Masala, Goat Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, 4 garlic Naans and 4 plain ones. There were customers eating in on just 1 table. One person was waiting for food takeaway who orfered before me. Order was ready in 10 mins. Thats where the good review ends. All curries were flooded with oil, uncooked spices and cooked with wrong spices in them. Chicken tikka masala was just an artificially orange (i cant wash it off hands) oily, sweet curry. Brain masala had this raw chat masala kind of flavour, that was 90% of the flavor I could taste and Goat Korma was almost flavourless with no depth in flavours. Either Garlic or plain naan was OK, because I could not tell one from the other. One was cooked, other was bit raw. And yes, they were packed separately so there is no chance I ate 2 plain naans. I drove 40 kms one-way to buy food from a place I thought was quite popular. I would not go back there again even if I lived on the same street. I lowered my expectation for this review and rated 3 star, my ratings are what an average Joe would give who doesnt know much about cookimg. With my knowledge of cooking and expectation I would rate it 1 star. So if you love your Pakistani/Indian curries and considering eating here or taking away just because someone else told you, its not worth it.
Great variety of Pakistani dishes and taste is good too. Atmosphere is average though.
Bro this is not biryani, this is called plain sona masuri with too much oil and colorful rice, no masala, this is definitely fast food bandi,
Hands down best restaurant in Enmore! The Rawalpindi express would be proud :) My favourite is the lamb biryani with garlic cheese naan but there is not a bad dish in the place! Lamb Karahi is great too. No matter the meat the curries and spices are the highlight. Awesome place be nice to them
We ordered takeaway and there were literal bugs in the vegetarian dhal, not just one but multiple (see photos). Very bad experience. The other dishes we ordered seemed fine, but after seeing the bugs in one to be honest it put us off the rest given what it implies about food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
Oh dear... Maybe don't do this place takeaway... Or based on other reviews...at all (apparently it's gone downhill and was better before?). Kind of get the impression they've given up if that's the case. Naan looked like it was from a packet (probably was actually). The rice was ooookayish but anything else was definitely not. I hadn't eaten in 11 hours and I still couldn't eat it. Money I won't get back, so learn from my error. Hopefully the owners turn it back around at some point.
