Frequently busy. Haven't tasted the biryani, but the Bain Marie curries were alright (I'm not Indian by the way)
Only go if you cannot find any other place. Quite a shocking experience to say the least. Service was bad and even when i tried to be friendly, my smiles were met with hard stares. Anyway, left the place with a Never again resolve.
Best Biryani...quite a rush all the time
I Will never return to this restaurant. The service is poor, the staff rude and the food is tasteless. You can give it a miss
The service and food is so bad !! So oily and chef was not wearing hair net , basically they all are not professional chefs ! The girl at the front who takes order is just so RUDE ! Doesn’t care about what we order and ignores . If I had a chance to give 0 star I would definitely give it , been here on 1/04/2025 at 11:30pm . Please train your staffs and hire professional chefs not just random people :) !! Poor hygiene and talking about the taste . It’s the WORST BIRIYANI you can ever get in Melbourne. Don’t waste your money people .
Food was pretty decent with the chicken being the highlight of the show here. Chicken 65 Dry was good, crispy and moist and had decent flavour and the chicken tikka was just as tender but I liked the dry / fried one better. The curries lacked a bit of flavour as they didn’t have that strong curry flavour and it was a bit watered down but we were fine with that as it was more calorie friendly. The rice and naan were pretty standard or even a bit below standard but overall happy with our visit. Didn’t feel like Briyani on the day but might come back for it.
Absolutely delicious! The biryani was packed with flavor, with perfectly cooked rice and a generous amount of meat. The portion size was satisfying, and the side sauce complemented it well. Definitely a must-visit spot for biryani lovers—I’ll be coming back for more! Highly recommended!
Very Disappointing Experience The overall experience was quite poor. The Chicken 65 was overly oily, not fresh at all, and had an unpleasant smell—definitely not something you’d expect from a decent kitchen. The biryani was equally bad—dry, bland, and lacking the usual rich flavors and aroma. On top of that, the reception was unwelcoming. I requested curd with my meal, but it was completely ignored despite asking more than once. Sadly, both the food and service were disappointing. Not worth visiting again.
May Be Owners Wont Agree... !!! Review for Biryani House I recently visited Biryani House, and unfortunately, my experience was quite underwhelming. Given its reputation, I had high expectations, but the food and service did not live up to the hype. The biryani was just average—not something I would call exceptional. The masala in it didn’t seem properly cooked, which affected the overall taste. I also tried the tikka masala and another gravy dish, but both were just so-so, lacking depth in flavor. Service was another major letdown. The staff seemed disengaged, more focused on chatting among themselves than attending to customers. There was little to no attention given to who was arriving or leaving, and the overall atmosphere felt unorganized. That said, if you’re just looking for a casual meal and happen to be nearby, it might be an okay option. But in my opinion, it’s not worth going out of your way for. Would I return? Probably not. There are better places with more attentive service and flavorful food.
This is our favorite Indian spot. The food is always amazing and the service is super friendly and helpful. The price is right, too. The atmosphere isn't great, but the location is convenient. We also appreciate the operating hours as we sometimes eat quite late at night.
One of the best Biryani i tried in melbourne. Both chicken and mutton dum biryani meat was super tender. Spice level was really good that both adults and kids can eat comfortably. Serving size is very good. 5 people 3 kids and 2 adult can hardly finish 3 servings of dum biryani
Must try place. Heard about this place many times and saw it very busy heaps of times while wandering in city. Today I got a chance to try food here. I love egg more than chicken. Rice quality is top notch. Biryani was delicious and appetising. Hot, fresh and mild spicy. Didn’t had separate rice for egg biryani. Raita is yummy. I was very hungry and it got satisfied. Self served water and glass. Prices are reasonable for city centric restaurant. Can improve in customer service. Confined space with many tables. Parking is difficult. Overall it’s a good experience.
